Pool Heater Brands — Verified Datasheet Summaries
Brand-by-brand pool heater datasheet summaries: model BTU ratings, efficiency and COP from official sources — neutral, sourced and comparable across brands.
Quick answer
This index covers 8 major pool heater brands — 4 with gas lines (Hayward, Pentair, Raypak, Jandy), 4 with heat pumps (Hayward, Pentair, AquaCal, FibroPool), 2 with electric resistance (EcoSmart, Coates) — 28 models summarized in total. Every table is captured from official brand sources with the link shown; compare brands on the same rating type, then check capacity against your pool with the BTU calculator.
Manufacturer datasheetVerified brand datasheets
Each brand page summarizes the official published specifications — model, BTU rating, efficiency or COP — with a linked source for every table and "(to be verified)" where the manufacturer states nothing. Start from the BTU calculator to know your required rating, then compare brands below on spec, not marketing.
- Hayward: 2 product line(s), 5 models summarized
- Pentair: 3 product line(s), 7 models summarized
- Raypak: 2 product line(s), 4 models summarized
- Jandy: 1 product line(s), 2 models summarized
- AquaCal: 2 product line(s), 3 models summarized
- FibroPool: 1 product line(s), 3 models summarized

How these pages are built
Every brand page follows the same capture discipline, so the tables are comparable in a way brand marketing is not:
- Official sources only. Figures come from each brand's own product pages, datasheets and installation manuals — never from retailer listings, review sites or a competitor's description of the product. The exact source link sits under every table with a capture date.
- Nothing is estimated. When a manufacturer doesn't publish a figure — a COP value, a per-model efficiency — the cell says "(to be verified)" instead of showing a guessed number. A missing spec is information; a made-up one is worse.
- Rating types are labeled. Gas models are listed by fuel input (the number on the box), heat pumps by delivered heat output, electric by output. Cross-brand comparison only works when the same rating type is compared — the sizing guide explains the conversion.
- Neutrality is structural. No brand pays for placement here and no affiliate relationship changes a spec. The tables exist because brand calculators only ever run the math for their own line — see the about page for the site's methodology.
FAQ
Which pool heater brand is best?
There is no honest single answer — the right question is which model fits your pool's required BTU, your fuel source and your climate. Size first with the BTU calculator, then use these pages to check that a candidate model's published rating actually covers your number.
Why is my brand not listed?
The index starts with the brands whose official documentation could be captured and verified. More brands get added as their datasheets are captured with the same discipline — a brand without sourceable official specs is not covered rather than covered loosely.
Are these the current models?
Each page carries a Last Verified date, and lines that a manufacturer has superseded (like gas SKUs being replaced by newer series) are noted in the table. Always confirm the exact model number against the manufacturer's site before buying — model lineups change.
